- Sandia is actively engaged in this journey with the unique facilities and equipment encompassed in the Microsystems and Engineering Sciences Applications (MESA) Complex.
- The MESA concept builds on Sandia’s focus on working with industry and universities to push the frontiers of microsystems while continuing to expand the facilities, infrastructure, and supporting network of capabilities needed to provide microsystems-based solutions. The elements necessary include materials research, nanotechnology, computationally enabled engineering, design, modeling, and simulation, fabrication, packaging, reliability and systems integration.
