HPEMS Electronic Integrated Desktop Interface (HEIDI)

HEIDITM is a thin client design console (written in JavaTM) available on a user's desktop, which allows web-based multi-platform job submission and parameter study analysis management. It was developed to give users desktop access via the network to high performance electrical modeling and simulation (HPEMS) tools, such as ChileSPICETM and XyceTM. HEIDITM has the following capabilities:

  • Read in an ASCII formatted netlist, produce a graphic, and submit the netlist for simulation to either XyceTM or ChileSPICETM on their local machine or on a remote machine
  • Modify netlists and keep track of the modifications via a Windows Explorer® like interface
  • Construct directory structures to aid in parametric studies
  • Show open output files on remote machines and download the results to the user's local machine for further post-processing
  • Access the University of California Berkeley's Ptplot and Sandia National Laboratories' xdamp for post-processing
