Within broad guidelines that govern, for example, conflict-of-interest and fairness-of-opportunity activities, Sandia is free to negotiate a variety of terms and conditions for its technology licenses.
Benefits - Licensing makes new technologies available to the private sector for commercialization.
Preparation for Agreement - The terms of the license are negotiated between Sandia and the licensee. The average time between expressed interest and a signed license is approximately four months.
Funding - The funding is totally from the participant.
