Sandia’s Radiological and Nuclear Countermeasures Program builds on 50 years of experience in understanding and preventing nuclear threats to:

• Anticipate: Sandia helps develop architectures to defend against nuclear and radiological threats.
• Detect: Sandia creates, tests, and improves radiological and nuclear detection systems.
• Recover and respond: We offer support, knowledge, and tools to create responses that mitigate the effects of an event and speed recovery.
