Sandia National Laboratories has a long and successful history in Human Factors and Assessments derived from our expertise in nuclear-weapon surety and human reliability, non-proliferation and assessments, and Dept. of Defense Cognitive Systems Technologies.

In Human Factors and Assessments, our strengths include:

Analytical methods using state-of-the-art modeling and simulation tools,
Experimental methods for testing, evaluating, and validating models, and
Sensing technologies for personal identification (biometrics) and threat indicators.

As a systems-engineering laboratory, Sandia recognizes that national-security solutions must address human dimensions.

As such, we are fully exploring Human Factors and Assessments as a means to more broadly and innovatively mitigate the risks of catastrophic events to the homeland.
