Please join us July 15-17, 2008, for the 4th Annual Laser Safety Officer Advanced Training Workshop, hosted by Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. This is a worskhop you will not want to miss!
Purpose
To present a one-of-a-kind program on Laser Safety issues including the following:
- Topics not found in standard Laser Safety training
- Solutions to real Laser Safety issues by experts in the field
Target Audience
Individuals with Laser Safety responsibility or with interest in a research or academic setting who want to update and expand their knowledge. Continuing Education Points (CEU) have been applied for with ABIH, ASSE, CSP, HPS, and BLS.

- Research in pulse shaping & material interactions
- Comparison of PDV and Lidar technologies and safety considerations
- Review of ANSI Laser Standards Z136.1, Z136.5, Z136.7, and Z136.8
- Review of the physiology and function of the eye
- Accident Investigation
- Practical Laser safety issues
- Laser and Robotics
- Vendor Exhibits

Badging
US Citizens who do not have a DOE or DoD approved clearance/badge need to fill out the following form (Visit Request) and fax it back to Erica De Smet @ (505) 844-4701 within 15 business days before the workshop. Foreign Nationals need to contact Felicia Vigil at (505) 284-5385 within 30-45 working days of the workshop.
