Combinatorial Materials Discovery

Several different combinatorial approaches are being applied in the Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Materials. Group to materials discovery and optimization. Target materials include new polymers for membrane applications, new hydrodesulfurization catalysts, photocatalysts, and catalysts for the preparation of new polymers. We are also developing and validating highly parallel analytical capabilities for identifying and quantifying chemicals, measuring permeability of polymers, and characterizing thermomechanical properties of materials.
