Both supports will be on a reimbursement basis, and will be made to students and postdocs based on active research in mesh generation or interest in meshing related research.
The amounts of support are as follows:
The National Science Foundation has offered funding to support a limited number of students and postdocs (approximately from 8 to 13) from the U.S.-based organizations who will attend the IMR. Priority will be given to higher quality submissions and underrepresented demographic groups as described below.
In keeping with NSF guidelines, all applicants will be required to use U.S. domestic carriers for air travel. A list will be organized to match attendees wishing to share a double hotel room (please email Andrey Chernikov if you are interested). The funding will be offered as reimbursement after the conference.

The applicants meeting the eligibility requirement (active student/postdoc at a U.S. organization) will be classified into priority categories as follows:
Lower priority (i.e., higher number) categories will be funded only if there are unused funds from the categories with higher priority. For categories 1 and 2, the applicants within the same category will be ranked according to the review score of their submission. For categories 3 and 4, priority will be given to underrepresented demographic groups.
