The following links provide access to other organizations and resources working to advance the use of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)/Codes & Standards - A nonprofit educational and technical organization promoting the art, science, and practice of mechanical engineering throughout the world. ASME maintains and distributes 600 codes and standards fir the design, manufacturing, and installation of mechanical devices. California Energy Commission - California's primary energy policy and planning agency. Oversees funding programs that support public interest research; advances energy science and technology through research, development, and demonstration; provides market support to existing, new, and emerging renewable technologies. California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP) - A partnership composed of auto manufacturers, energy providers, fuel cell companies, and government agencies aimed at advancing and evaluating new vehicle technologies. California Hydrogen Business Council - A nonprofit comprised of individuals and organizations involved in the business of hydrogen that actively supports hydrogen's growing commercial use, new applications, and the transition of our energy infrastructure. California Hydrogen Highway - A public/private partnership launched by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to create a network of hydrogen fueling stations throughout California, and to support and catalyze a rapid transition to a hydrogen transportation economy in the state. DOE Metal Hydride Center of Excellence Hydride Information Center - Provides access to a comprehensive set of databases on metal-hydrogen systems, their properties, applications and literature sources, as well as profiles of organizations involved in metal-hydrogen development. Hydrogen Energy Center - A nonprofit organization dedicated to demonstrating the potential of hydrogen as an energy carrier for the economy of Main and the New England region. Hydrogen Energy Network (H2NET) - A joint collaboration between United Kingdom industry and academia interested in the development of hydrogen as an energy vector. Principal aim is to promote research and discussion on issues related to the development of the hydrogen energy economy. Hydrogen,Fuel Cells & Infrastructure Technologies Program, U.S. Department of Energy - Integrates activities in hydrogen production, storage, and delivery with transportation and stationary fuel cell activities. Responsible for several recommendations in the President's National Energy Policy, including the development of next generation technologies, establishment of an education campaign that communicates the potential benefits, and better integration of subprograms in hydrogen, fuel cells, and distributed energy. Hydrogen Pathways Program (University of California, Davis) - A four-year research and outreach program to address the transition to a hydrogen economy, with a primary focus on the manufacture, storage, and distribution of hydrogen for use in fuel cell vehicles. Hydrogen: Status and Possibilities - Information on hydrogen issues and challenges from the Environmental Foundation Bellona, a nonprofit organization based is Oslo, Norway, dedicated to environmental protection. Hydrogensociety.net - Sponsored by TISEC Inc., site offers information about hydrogen technologies, including The Sourcebook for Hydrogen Applications (the definitive reference manual in the field), The Hydrogen Regulatory Infrastructure, The Sourcebook for Kids, and a hydrogen safety manual titled Dispersion, Combustion and Detonation of Hydrogen and their Consequences. Hydrogen Technology Partnership (HyTeP) - An alliance representing industry, business, research laboratories, universities, and government, working together to enhance the economic development of New Mexico and the nation through a cooperative focus on hydrogen and fuel cell research, development, demonstration, and commercialization. HyWeb Gazette - Newsletter of L-B-Systemtechnik GmbH and the German Hydrogen Association. International Association for Hydrogen Energy - Fosters the exchange of information on hydrogen energy through its publications and sponsorship of international workshops, short courses, and conferences. International Clearinghouse for Hydrogen Based Commerce - Nonprofit corporation that offers a meeting forum for discussing opportunities that serve the interests of the hydrogen industries. International Code Council (ICC) - A nonprofit organization dedicated to developing a single set of comprehensive and coordinated national model construction codes. International Energy Agency (IEA) Hydrogen Program - International program that supports collaborative activities focused on the advancement of the implementation and utilization of hydrogen technologies. IEA is an autonomous agency that functions as an important energy forum for 26 member countries, including the United States. National Energy Technology Laboratory - A U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory that conducts science and technology programs in energy and energy-related environmental systems. National Hydrogen Association (NHA) - NHA serves as a catalyst for information exchange and cooperative projects and provides the setting for mutual support among industry, government, and research/academic organizations. Comprised of members from automobile companies, fuel cell developers, gas producers, chemical companies, and others. Office of Fossil Energy - U.S. Department of Energy - Responsible for several Presidential initiatives, including overseeing FutureGen, a project to develop a pollution-free plant to coproduce electricity and hydrogen. Renewable Energy Policy Project - Supports the advancement of renewable energy technology through policy research. Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) - A nonprofit educational and scientific organization with 84,000 members dedicated to advancing the engineering of mobility systems. United States Hydrogen and the American Hydrogen Association - Midwest Division - Provides hydrogen videos and articles as well as information on patents and technologies for license. U.S. Department of Energy - The federal agency in charge of advancing the national, energy, and economic security of the United States. |
