Pre-meeting Questionnaire To prepare for this meeting, we ask you to answer a 5-minute online questionnaire to enhance safety-related efforts and chart the working group's 2017 goals. It also will help set the agenda for the February 2017 in-person meeting of the working groups as part of the energy storage safety forum now being organized. Meeting Objective The Energy Storage System Safety Working Group's goal is to enable timely deployment of safe energy storage systems consistent with the December 2014 DOE OE Energy Storage Safety Strategy, which prioritizes the work needed to address gaps in the knowledge associated with energy storage system safety, and carrying out safety related research, education, and training, technical support, and codes/standards development activities. During the meeting, we will give a complete working group update and discuss plans for the coming year. The following topics will be discussed briefly:
  • Last year's achievements and activities
  • CSR publications and efforts
  • R&D priorities
  • SOIR documents
  • Reorganization of sub-committees and task forces
  • Plans for next year
As this will be a high-level overview of the working groups, share this meeting with colleagues or collaborators you feel would benefit. For more information, email the event coordinators at energystorage@sandia.gov.
