Purpose:
  • To provide standards and specifications for building and site systems for he ease of maintenance and establishing consistent equipment to lower life-cycle costs.

 

Objectives:
  • Provide design manuals, construction specifications, and standard construction drawings.
  • Comply with applicable DOE Orders, applicable building codes, and associated regulations.
  • Provide standard documents that promote green building practices that allign with the credits defined by the LEED rating system.
  • Move toward industry standards that lower life cycle and initial costs.
  • Apply industry "Highly Protected Risk" (HPR) standards.
  • Clearly define the desired level of quality and performance required for design, construction, and operations of buildings and infrastructure.
  • Continuously improve the standards by addressing life safety, life-cycle cost, green building, energy efficiency, and security.

  4. Construction Specifications
  5. Construction Drawings
  6. Documents incorporated by reference in Section II
  7. Other documents, if any, incorporated into the Contract
