Our vision for Cognitive Systems
• Transform the nature of human-machine systems to dramatically improve human cognitive potential.
• Solutions should have a breadth of application ranging from cell phones/PDA’s to massive systems-of-systems.
• We want to spawn a transformation in human-machine systems comparable to the 80’s transition from command line interfaces to GUIs.

Our approach to Cognitive Systems
• Transform the machine side of human-machine systems to be like a human-to-human interaction.
• Embed within machines highly realistic and individualized computational representations of cognitive processes to enhance human-machine interaction.
• The machine becomes a human-like cognitive entity that knows you like your best friend.

We are realizing this vision in the form of three overlapping technologies.

Aide -
Acts as your personal aide, ubiquitously going where you go and mediating between you and the breadth of agent, robot and electronic systems.

Council - Allows you to create a virtual meeting in which participants consist of cognitive models representing experts from one or more disciplines that you may engage in an interactive dialogue.
Aid, Council, and Oracle graphic
Oracle - Utility that makes simulation a practical tool for everyday use by enabling sophisticated simulations to be rapidly and easily constructed as an aid in comprehending ongoing events and forecasting likely/possible outcomes.
