The Cognitive Systems: Human Cognitive Models in System Design workshop will be held at the La Fonda Hotel, Santa Fe, New Mexico, from July 6th to July 8th.

A block of 65 rooms is reserved for the workshop through June 1st
(or until all rooms are reserved) at $134.00+tax per night.

A second person may share a room free, but there
is a charge of $20 per night for each additional person.
Children under 12 are free if staying in same room as parents.


Santa Fe is 60 miles north of Albuquerque International Airport. The La Fonda Hotel is located right next to the Santa Fe market place, where local Indians exhibit and sell their hand-crafted products. Museums, art galleries and restaurants are easily accessible.

Ground Transportation: For transportation from the Albuquerque Airport to the site, call Sandia Shuttle Express at 888-775-5696 (In US & Canada) or 505-474-5696 or 505-243-3244; Fax: 505-474-5693; http://www.sandiashuttle.com. The cost is $43 round trip or $23 one way. Advance reservations with credit card are required. The check-in location at the Albuquerque Airport is on the Baggage Claim level across from Southwest baggage carousel #3.

Driving Directions: Allow 1.5 hours for driving from Albuquerque Airport. Directions from
I-25 and the Albuquerque Airport:
As you leave the airport, take the Sunport exit to I-25 North toward Santa Fe. Santa Fe is approximately 60 miles north of Albuquerque. When you reach Santa Fe, take Exit# 284, Old Pecos Trail. At the stop sign at the top of the hill, turn left. Proceed north to the third traffic light and bear right to stay on Old Pecos Trail into town. Old Pecos Trail becomes Old Santa Fe Trail which dead ends into La Fonda at Water Street. Go around the hotel by turning left on Water, then making an immediate right. At the traffic light at San Francisco Street, turn right again, away from the Plaza and toward St. Francis Cathedral. Proceed to the parking garage of La Fonda at the end of the block, on the right. Train Service

Amtrak's Southwest Chief trains - eastbound from Los Angeles and westbound from Chicago - meet each afternoon at Lamy, New Mexico. Call the Lamy Shuttle at (505) 982-8829 to arrange transportation to downtown Santa Fe (14 miles) or area hotels for possible pickup.
