Videoconference & Collaborative Technologies (VACT) offers the following services:


VACT Operations, Scheduling and Help Desk Services (505) 845-2000

VACT is teaming with the Sandia corporate computing help desk and CSU's to assist collaboration and videoconference customers. Help desk advantages include:

  • Single point of contact for all Sandia customers requiring assistance with collaboration and videoconferencing resources
  • Assistance with event scheduling and services
  • Minimize customer downtime
  • Maintain and utilize metrics to improve performance
  • Assistance with security plan/requirements compliance

Hours of Operation

Following CPR 300.6.31, our standard hours are 7:30 am-4:30 pm (Mountain Time) for urgent response & scheduling support. With advance notice, we will accommodate setting-up videoconference calls at most times (videoconferences with international locations or the east coast). For non-emergency information or assistance, you may contact us via the Videoconferencing Scheduler Line at 845-2000 Option 2. For urgent responses, contact 845-2000 Option 1


Managed Multimedia Facilities with Support Level Agreements

Today's high tech multimedia collaborative and videoconferencing environments incorporate a broad range of specialized capabilities. Some of these capabilities include:

  • Complex projector systems
  • Peripheral device control (VCR's, DVD's, PC's, etc.)
  • Specialized lighting operation and control advanced sound systems

VACT can ease the burden of managing and operating these high-tech facilities with professional, dedicated support staff. Operational staff services include:

  • Videoconferencing/collaboration environment setup
  • Centralized facility management and control
  • Manned/facilitated equipment control for meetings or events
