STAR Program

The STAR program, a partnership between Lockheed Martin and Sandia National Labs, is designed to provide an intense summer program for highly motivated and talented students in science and math. Students selected for this eight-week program work closely with a Sandia scientist or engineer on a technical project. Students earn a competitive wage.

School to World

The call for candidates between their junior and senior years goes out through the heads of the science departments at all Albuquerque, Los Lunas, Bernalillo, and Rio Rancho public high schools in October. Participant selections are made in late January or early February to provide ample time to process the employment application and adjust family vacation plans.
