STAR Program

The STAR program, a partnership between Lockheed Martin and Sandia National Labs, is designed to provide an intense summer program for highly motivated and talented students in science and math. Students selected for this eight-week program work closely with a Sandia scientist or engineer on a technical project. Students earn a competitive wage.

The call for nominations of students in their junior year goes out to area high schools and home schooled students in October. Participant selections are made in late January or early February to provide ample time to process the employment application and adjust family vacation plans.
