Strengthening
Quality in Schools (SQS), a Sandia-led partnership, teaches Baldrige-based
concepts to educators. SQS sites continue to gain measurable results
in student achievement and overall school performance. Good things are
happening all over New Mexico.

- Gallup's
Tohatchi Middle School students raised math scores
from the 17th percentile to the 44th percentile in one year.
- Reading
scores jump from a grade level of 1.1 to 3.76 for 4th
grade students at Albuquerque's Valle Vista Elementary School
in just one year.
- Educators
from 402 schools and 60 districts have participated
in SQS since 1992.
