The Northern New Mexico Middle School Science Bowl is a tournament-style academic competition that challenges and recognizes students' knowledge of science and mathematics.

The competition is a fast-paced question-and-answer contest about earth, physical, life, math, and general sciences.

The event is a preliminary competition for the U.S. Department of Energy National Middle School Science Bowl® held each spring in Denver, Colorado.

The 2008 Northern New Mexico Regional Middle School Science Bowl will be held on April 5, 2008 at the Albuquerque Academy.
