Purpose:
The CHEMKIN in Combustion Workshop gathers together users of CHEMKIN software for the purpose of exchanging information and experience in the simulation of combustion-related processes. The Seventh Biennial Workshop on CHEMKIN in Combustion will highlight a new Reaction Workbench add-on for CHEMKIN that allows guided, accurate mechanism reduction, as well as a new CHEMKIN-PRO model for flame extinction. In addition, example applications of CHEMKIN will be presented by several guest speakers.
New capabilities available with the latest release of CHEMKIN-PRO and CHEMKIN will be presented. These capabilities include the new flame-extinction model, as well as many enhancements and major speed improvements. Hands-on demonstrations of the simulation software will be available at the end of the workshop.
As in past CHEMKIN Workshops, we will also include an interactive discussion on future plans for CHEMKIN development, CHEMKIN use in teaching and research, and any related issues that participants would like to raise.
The Seventh Biennial CHEMKIN in Combustion Workshop will be held on Sunday, August 1st in Beijing, immediately prior to the start of the 33rd International Symposium on Combustion.
