Albuquerque proper has a population a little over 500,000, with the population in the area of just fewer than 800,000. The two greatest strengths of the city are its diversity and its proximity to the great outdoors. Year-round good weather and easy access to the outdoors (the Sandia mountain wilderness is 20 minutes from Sandia) make Albuquerque an incredible area for outdoor enthusiasts.

Livermore, California
The Livermore Valley is suburban living at its best — good schools, open space, quaint downtowns, and low crime. Sandia/California is also a reasonable commute from more affordable housing communities in San Joaquin County
