| I am currently leading an effort to do data mining of terascale scientific mesh-based simulation data sets using pattern recognition, parallel processing and supported visualization. In earlier work, I was the principal investigator for research programs fusing computer vision and binary decision tree classification theory to aid in the detection of cancers in screening mammograms. I engaged in image processing research with military applications for Hughes Aircraft Company. My general technical interests are in pattern recognition and data analysis, in particular objective methods for evaluating and predicting the performance of pattern recognition algorithms. | |||||||||||
