OVERVIEW

The DOE Metrology Accreditation Committee (the Committee) web site furnishes laboratories and interested visitors with the latest in DOE Metrology Accreditation developments throughout the DOE complex and provides a medium for exchange of information. Visitors are kept abreast of the latest developments in DOE laboratory accreditation and metrology standards. (DOE Metrology Accreditation Committee Background)

Working in close partnership with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Committee's goals are to enrich DOE's accreditation capabilities through increased contact and reduced cost. The DOE Metrology Accreditation Committee internet site will be of value within and outside the DOE complex, both nationally and internationally.

This site includes tools that facilitate information exchange and expand DOE capabilities; one of them is a listing of members of the Committee from across the DOE complex.

The "Capabilities" page has links to the NVLAP scope for each accredited lab.

Under "NNSA Metrology Org's" there are links to each metrology organization's site and a contact for each metrology organization.

The "Resources" page has links to NCSLI, NVLAP, NIST, and other resources of interest to metrology organizations.

In the "Members Only" there are documents being reviewed or in draft form and a share area for posting questions/comments.

In the "FAQ" page there are frequently asked metrology related questions.
