Pamela D. Hansen Hargan

Pamela (Pam) D. Hansen Hargan is Vice President of Human Resources and Communications for Sandia Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation. In her role, Pamela is responsible for the leadership and labs-wide management of human resources, health, benefits, employee services and all corporate communication efforts, including planning, strategy, executive communication, media relations, external branding, community affairs, and internal communication.

Prior to joining Sandia, she led Workforce Strategy and Planning for Lockheed Martin. Earlier she served as the vice president of Human Resources for Integrated Systems & Solutions (IS&S). With the 2007 formation of Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Services, she was named deputy vice president of Human Resources while also taking on the role of vice president of Strategic Workforce Planning. She served in numerous high-level positions during her 21-year career at Lockheed, including having led the HR function for Electronic Systems MS2 Company, Space Systems Astronautics, and M&DS companies.

Prior to her career at Lockheed Martin, Pamela held increasingly high-ranking Human Resources positions with Chrysler Corporation, General Dynamics, and Systems Research & Applications, International, Inc. Her experience spans a broad range of Human Resources functions that include staffing, compensation, training, organizational effectiveness and organizational design, and Human Resources information systems.

Pamela currently serves on the board of the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Financial Accountability Committee of the United Way of Central New Mexico. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, Human Capital Institute, University of Pennsylvania Wharton Human Resources Advisory Group, and the American Society for Training & Development. Additionally, she has served in various community-based boards in Colorado and New Jersey.

Pamela obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York and studied Psychology at Western Illinois University. She also holds a master’s degree in Executive Management Human Resources Leadership from Rutgers University.
