Acting Vice President for Legal and Prime Contract, Acting General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary
Marianne Hill is Acting Vice President Legal and Prime Contract Division, Acting General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary for Sandia Corporation, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation, which manages and operates Sandia National Laboratories for the United States Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration. She has been at Sandia National Laboratories since 2002 serving previously as Acting Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Litigation Director and General Law Attorney.
Ms. Hill is responsible for managing Sandia’s legal, prime contract, and export control activities. As Corporate Secretary, she supports Sandia’s Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Sandia, Ms. Hill was at the law firm of Wiggins, Campbell, and Wells P.A., and a former judicial law clerk to the Honorable James J. Wechsler, New Mexico Court of Appeals.
Ms. Hill began her career as a technical and logistics project manager for the Department of Defense at Edwards AFB and with Hughes Aircraft Company at Hahn AB, Germany. Ms. Hill was a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force Reserves reaching the rank of Captain.
Ms. Hill has a J.D. magna cum laude (Order of the Coif) from the University of New Mexico School of Law, M.S. in Management from Golden Gate University, and a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Notre Dame.
Ms. Hill is a member of the American Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Department of Energy Contractor Attorneys Association, and the Albuquerque Bar Association. She is on the Board of Directors for Leadership New Mexico.
