Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary
Elizabeth D. (Becky) Krauss is Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary for Sandia Corporation, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation, which manages and operates Sandia National Laboratories under contract to the United States Department of Energy National Laboratories.
Ms. Krauss is responsible for managing Sandia’s legal activities, encompassing areas such as general corporate law; employment and labor relations; taxes and benefits; environmental, safety and health; procurement; intellectual property; technology transfer; and litigation management.
As Corporate Secretary, she is responsible for all matters concerning Sandia’s Board of Directors and corporate status.
In 1994, after six years of private practice with Wiggin & Dana, a law firm in Connecticut, Ms. Krauss joined Sandia. She was promoted to Senior Attorney in 1999 and to Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary in 2001. She became Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Sandia National Laboratories in April 2003.
Ms. Krauss graduated from Connecticut College with a Bachelor of Arts degree (Cum Laude) and membership in Phi Beta Kappa and received her Juris Doctor degree from Boston College. She is admitted to the Bar of the States of New Mexico and Connecticut.
Ms. Krauss is a member of the Department of Energy Contractor Attorneys Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and serves on the Board of the United Way of Central New Mexico.
