Evan van Hook has been Corporate Vice President for Health, Safety, Environment, Product Stewardship & Sustainability for Honeywell International since 2004. From 2005 to 2015, Van Hook was Adjunct Professor of International Environmental Law at Columbia Law School in New York City, and he is an occasional guest lecturer at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.

Van Hook is a graduate of the Yale Law School and a former partner in the global law firm of Sidley & Austin. He is also on the Advisory Board of The Hudson Riverkeeper, on the Board of Directors of the Housatonic Valley Association, and Chair of the Conservation Advisory Committee for the Town of Dover, New York. From 2002 to 2004, he served as Assistant Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and he has published numerous articles on environmental topics.

Van Hook is Lean Expert trained and is a 2012 recipient of the Honeywell Senior Leadership Award, the company’s highest honor.
