Cathie Gridley is Sector Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Defense Services for Northrop Grumman’s Technology Services sector, a recognized leader in integrated logistics; sustainment; modernization; defense, health, civil and government services; and training solutions. In this role, Gridley oversees the Advanced Defense Services division, which provides advanced defense and security services, including land forces sustainment and modernization, systems security, training, and operations to strengthen national security for the U.S. and its allies. She was named to this position on Jan.1, 2016.

Prior to that, Gridley served as Sector Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for the former Technical Services sector. In this position, Gridley had executive leadership responsibility for the sector’s strategy, business development, and capture processes. She was named to this position in November 2013.

Gridley has more than 15 years of progressive leadership experience in both commercial and defense services. She has a strong foundation in finance, international business, and business developmen, and has used her diverse leadership experience and business acumen to build strong teams, improve profitability and operational execution, and achieve new business growth, while emphasizing customer support and relationship development. Throughout her career, Gridley has also supported strategic mergers and acquisitions, complex business integration, and long-term strategic planning.

Previously, Gridley was Vice President of DynCorp International’s aviation business. In this position, she led a team of more than 6,000 employees across more than 50 locations worldwide. Before joining DynCorp International, she was President of Customer Services at GE Aviation Systems, managing the global aftermarket and end-user customer base of more than 1,400 customers in 140 countries. Gridley also held leadership positions for Goodrich, TRW, and Lucas Aerospace.

Gridley earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ithaca College in New York and a master’s degree in business administration in finance and international business from Binghamton University in New York.
