What is Surety?

A definition:
Surety is a level of confidence that a system will operate exactly as planned under both expected and unexpected circumstances.

Surety attributes:
Reliability in normal environments
(Our critical national defense systems and our infrastructures can operate without failures.)

Safety of people and surroundings in abnormal environments
(Our assets can better withstand natural disasters.)

Security and Use Control in malevolent environments
(Our forces can anticipate and mitigate attacks on our national assets.)
