The nation’s food supply is vulnerable to attacks and diseases. Comprehensive and timely decision support for food defense and risk reduction are needed. In both plant and livestock production, the potential for contaigon and contamination can be reduced through better understanding of the topology of supply networks and the interactions among network elements.
