CTH is Export Controlled software and is available for site license to U.S. Government agencies and contractors working under contract to the U.S. Government or one of its agencies. A Government Use Notice that outlines the terms and restrictions of CTH use must be signed by an officer of your organization.
We charge a fee of $1,000 for distribution of CTH to licensees working under contract to the U.S. Government. The fee will entitle the licensee to software updates for a period of one year.
Commercial licenses for CTH are available but will include a fee that depends on the number of users and sites. These licenses are negotiated on a case by case basis. Several non-U.S. sites have commercial CTH licenses under approved U.S. Dept. of State export licenses. Please contact cth-license@sandia.gov for questions about commercial or non-U.S. licenses.
CTH is written in Fortran 90 and C and can be built under most versions of Unix, Linux and Mac/OSX operating systems. The CTH distribution package is completely self contained and requires no additional pre- or post-processors. The distribution contains pre-built executables for Linux, Windows and Mac/OSX and source code and make files for other Unix systems. For the pre-built Windows and Linux versions, software license keys are used to tie the executables to a specific machine.
If you would like to obtain CTH for use on a government contract you will need to obtain a current Government Use Notice with an assigned agreement number. Please send an email containing the information below to cth-license@sandia.gov to obtain the appropriate licensing paperwork.
