ASCI White
ASC has the four fastest supercomputers in the world. Intel’s ASCI Red machine, located at Sandia New Mexico, was the world’s first teraOPS supercomputer and was recently upgraded to more than 3 teraOPS. ASCI Blue Mountain was installed at Los Alamos by SGI and has achieved a peak speed of over 3 teraOPS. ASCI Blue Pacific was installed by IBM at Lawrence Livermore and has also broken the 3-teraOPS barrier. ASCI White (above) was installed by IBM at Lawrence Livermore in 2000 and is the world’s fastest at 12.3 teraOPS.
